The SchülerVZ is for students there - already clear, but did you ever thought about the fact that theoretically there may register at any? Cornelia Boer also has a profile in SchülerVZ and she goes to school. However, she is on the other side of the desk. She teaches German, history and religion at the Joseph-Haydn-Gymnasium in Send. Before she changed last summer after sending it, it was a teacher at St. Christopher's School in Werne and hence the invitation came to SchülerVZ consideration from a student from the 8th Class.
End the secrecy
Mr. Schmidt's profile, however, was contrary to public Boer woman and he has also encouraged Ms. Boer to show himself publicly. "I do not spy, for my students to trust me and so I with my eighth and 9 Classes discussed in detail on the subject. "Because they think it's important to explain to the children with what they use as a medium and that it needs to be learned. The reaction of her students were almost all positive, as Ms. Boer was not easy now only a teacher but also had a personality. Favorite food, movies and books were be found in the profile, although there are limits to privacy. Holiday photos of woman you are looking for in the Boer SchülerVZ vain and as little as one teacher referred to in private life as a friend, it's the same in the network. "At first I did not do to invite friends, only colleagues, but later I decided then to accept and former students." She explains. But the most important functions but anyone can access. The Board and the news function remain unlocked. "Many students write me messages and confidence as a teacher, I think it's a good thing. It is an easy way to reach me. My Wall served at the beginning as a discussion forum. I wanted to know what students think of it that I show up in SchülerVZ and I found it very interesting what has come of it. ". There had been not only positive feedback.
Not everyone is in agreement
On the whiteboard there are also linked by a student who finds it not good that teachers are in SchülerVZ. Officially it is forbidden by the way, for it is according to terms, "a prerequisite for registration with schülerVZ as user is a minimum age of twelve years and the status of a pupil." And so it happened that Mrs. Boer after some time with the operators of the portal has been reported and got a message in which she was asked to delete her profile. So far they have ignored siecle however successful, but they also know that other teachers profiles have been deleted. "I find it sad that someone has reported me as I explained on my bulletin board, why I signed up. The most important thing to me is really to make the students aware of what they put into it there and who can see everything. The SchülerVZ is like a bulletin board at school, only public. One should be careful with the things they reveal of themselves. "Warns Ms Boer. Probleme
For more tolerance on school grounds." This refers not only real, but also the virtual playgrounds. People who join the group to speak out against violence and bullying and is growing the group. "Meanwhile, there are already 50 members of my school. I am very pleased and hope that it is still widespread. "
fellow
Boer woman is, as already mentioned at the beginning not the only teacher who has a unique profile in SchülerVZ. "Alone at my school I know a few other teachers who are logged in SchülerVZ, but not publicly." Know above all, young teachers often called the "StudiVZ" and from there it's only a small step to make have to make.
conclusion of Mrs. Boer
... and elsewhere?
not only in Germany to enjoy this new so-called 'social networks' popularity. The trend came from America to England with "Facebook" is also about Germany and ended up in Poland, but there run things a little differently. The most popular German Platform "StudiVZ" now has 4.8 million users. In Poland, however, the number is still amazing. The large portal use the all there, is called "Nasza Klasa" (Eng. "Our Class"). 11 million Poles have a profile on this site, but it's not just students or students. Unlike the German StudiVZ SchülerVZ or can log in here any who has attended in his life at some point a Polish school - and teachers are welcomed with open arms.
There is another way ... right?
most want the students to add their (former or current) teachers as friends and the teacher bulletin boards are littered with comments from students, but here, the students generally behave politely and nicely the teachers towards. Many thanks for a great school.
The Other Side of the An exception to the fresh graduates of the high school (Polish: comprehensive school with pupils from 13 to 16 years) dar. The fact is disturbing. Some of them abuse their former teachers online and think they are exempt from punishment and who feel anonymous. They have no fear of consequences and are proud to work with their teachers "be able to settle." Considering this aspect, the portals are similar but a little, but as I said - it is rather the exception. The teachers remain in this case, only two possibilities – sie können entweder eine Anzeige erstatten oder blöde Bemerkungen einfach ignorieren.
There are many useful and fun features that facilitate the communication and fun. However, these portals lead to massive problems. Everyone should think twice about what he says and where he is posting. Everyone should contribute something to oppose this "cyber bullying" to express and act freely according to the proverb "What you do not, what can you do ...".
